I feel empty

He didn’t come in talking about his trades.

He came in and said three words:
“I feel empty.”

Not scared.
Not angry.
Not stressed.

Empty.

I’ve sat across from traders who lost everything
and came in furious.

Others bargaining.
Others with spreadsheets proving it wasn’t their fault.

He came in with nothing left to perform.

The market didn’t empty him.
It just stopped being loud enough to cover it.
