The whole story

The whole story
They came in with the whole story already written.

Who said what.
Who started it.
Who was right.
Every detail accounted for.

I’ve sat across from people
who had been living inside an argument for days
without the other person knowing it existed.

They had the evidence.
They had the verdict.

They just never had the conversation.

The trial ran completely in their head.
And the sentence was already decided
before anyone else got to speak.

Not because it was true.
Because it felt safer than checking.

That’s the part no one admits.

You don’t want clarity.
You want confirmation.

So let me ask you:

What are you certain about
that you’ve never actually validated before acting?
