In 36 years of evaluations,
I lost count of how many people said:
“I’ve been depressed since my teens.”
“I’m anxious.”
“I have mood swings.”
Not “I have it.”
“I am it.”
The condition became the identity.
And that’s what keeps people stuck.
Not the pattern.
The attachment to it.
Because once it’s who you are,
changing it feels like losing yourself.
So you don’t challenge it.
You protect it.
Even when it costs you.
So ask yourself:
What have you turned into an identity
instead of something you could change?
